The owners manual doesn't warn against using Auto 4wd for long trips, but I wanted to ask to be sure. I've had to drive several 200-250 mile trips in snow with my Full Time 4wd Land Cruiser in the past, and I wanted to make sure it's ok to do so with the Chevy.
Thanks,
Chris

is the truck still under warranty??

I'm not sure about the "Owners Man.", but I've run mine for several miles (in the rain) with no problems. I don't run it any more than necessary, because I figure it probably used a little more fuel.

It's not going to hurt anything, except take a little more gas.

I had no problem with my truck all winter here in Minot, ND. I had it in 4WD all winter long and even made two trips down to NE which is a 9 hr drive each way. She did fantastic. The only precaution I took was to make sure everything was lubed good before each long trip.
