hey all i switched to 15in rims and had to grid my calipers....well i have them down the point where there almost gone and my rim will move if my trucks drivin but it wont if you jack it up in the air and try to spin it..... i took it back off and didnt see a spot where its rubbin now...should i be ok to drive it or should i try to take more off ?
for one why did you do that that is obsurde. Changing to a smaller rim messes your drive train up and everything. I know tires are not that much more expensive for 16s. It just seems to me u have messed up a perfectly good part. If the tire doesent move when it is jacked up take more off.

Obviously the easiest answer to this is to put the 16 inch wheels back on. But it sounds like your determined to run 15's so take the wheel off spray paint the inside of the wheel with a contrasting color spray paint rebolt the wheel and spin it. Remove the wheel and look for where the paint transference is. You might be able to remove enough metal from the inside of the wheel to stop any grinding.
Dont forget to do the rear wheels also cause the next time you need to swap wheels from front to back it'll be a cold dark night and you wont have any tools other than a jack and a lug wrench to help you.

It might be hitting the control arm, that would be the first place i would check. If it only does it when the wheel is off the ground you should be fine to drive it unless it hits when you turn the wheel.
i finally got them....only have to grind the rears...close to ten hours of grinding but it looks good with the 15'' deep dish's .... thanks guys
