Ok, I have had both my front and rear brakes replaced within the last 6 months. About 2 months after my rear brake job, my brakes started squealing. I've ignored it for a while, but it seems to be getting worse. It mostly happens when the brakes are cold and/or wet. After I drive for a little while, they don't squeal as loud, but I can still hear it sometimes.
When I got my front brake job, I know they turned the rotors and I didn't have problems after. However, when I got my rear brake job (drum brakes), I'm not sure if they turned the drums or not (took it to a different shop).
I'm thinking about taking it in to the first shop and letting them look at the brakes all around and maybe resurfacing the drums. Is there anything I can check for myself before I spend that $$??

Could just be from condensation on them, it also is from the EPA, brakes used to be made with asbestoes in them to stop them from squeling then they banned that, so they use different things to try and stop it but more of them get banned, even brand new cars the brakes will start squeling. You can always take it in and they shouldnt charge you to look over their own work.

ive got an 06 crew cab that had the same problem.. and after $500 and about a week and a half.. i found out it was bc they used metallic pads!! at least i got new rotors put on. but i would take it to your shop and find out what material pads they used and have them put the factory oem pads back on and i promise thatll stop your squeaking. let us know how it goes
