i plan on lowering my truck 2" front/ 4"rear. i was wondering if im gonna need to buy new shocks that are made for a lowered truck?
and how do u like ur truck lowered? does it ride about the same or rough?

You could get by I am sure but I would spend the money for new shocks made for lowered vehicles

any suggestions on brands or types? ive never lowered a truck b4

I had a lowered sonoma back in the mid nineties, and before I picked my lowering kit I checked out alot of them and just about everyone had a reccomended shock and part number for it, those are the better ones that can give you all options right up front

What year is your truck?.As VNCJ96 said look around and Ask questions .A few companys to look at are Bell Tech,Eibech.I would go to there sites, you will be able to find what you are looking for. Also there are a few way to do a 2/4 drop. For the best ride IMO,I would do Drop Spindles up Front and in the back Shackles and Hangers. And for Shocks ,there are many to choose from.Bilstein,Edelbrock again to name a few.
