    Default Clearing trouble codes

    Hi Folks,
Is there a way to clear trouble codes without a scanner. I know I should already have one but things are a little tight right now and I don't want to settle for a cheapy one. Thanks.

Try disconecting the battery for a few minutes and that should do it.

Autozone and Advance can do it for free for you also

One thing to remember about clearing codes is when you disconnect the battery you loose all your computer adapts along with all the presets in your radio and any other accessories that have memory. Not only that, you loose the snapshot of the code. The freeze frame snapshot has all the information on what happened when the code set. And last but not least, clearing codes can cause further damage to your vehicle!
