Angry New guy , read my story bout my truck!

    Hey everyone,

My name is Jacob. I live in West Covina, CA. I just turned 23. Well about two years ago I bought my dream truck, 2002 Chevy Silverado 2500HD LS Ext. Cab. Mind you it only had 20K miles on it in 2007. I will post a picture of it down on the bottom. Well I had the truck for a long time always babied it and it was never dirty. I also had a Honda which was my daily. Well I ended up getting into some trouble and I had to sell it. I dont want to hear anything because I have learned my lesson but I let a family friend take over the payments without switching the truck out of my name. Well he had it and he took it to Texas. So now two years had passed and he misses a couple payments and it starts hitting my credit. So I keep calling him and he is giving me the run around that he is gonna pay it and this and that.. Finally this Friday that just passed I called him and told him that I was gonna be there Saturday morning and that if the truck was not there I was gonna call the cops. Well the truck was there but the thing he didnt tell me was that he had wrecked it and the hood, front fenders were just all bondo... Good job but coming from California and raised around Lowriders you do not use bondo on anything unless it's dent filler. So I picked it up and drove it home this weekend with the resevoir leaking (luckily JB weld makes a water weld). So now I need a hood, fenders, front bumper, Air box, resevoir, Headlights, and pretty much anything cosmetic in the front. BUT THE MOTOR STILL STRONG AS EVER AND IT'S NOT BAD THAT MY 02 ONLY HAS 41k on it now..... The drive home was miserable and the tires were bald... the a/c is not blowing hard,... i think it could be that the blower is going bad..... HELP

    Please post some comments

Welcome to the site! I don't know what options you have as far as your "friend" goes, but that is a bad way to learn who your friends really are.

Should have fed him a nice big can of Whoopa$$ before you left.

Sorry for your inconvience, but on the bright side you have your truck back.

Hey Jacob, like everyone has told you sorry to hear about your truck in the hands of a friend.
Welcome to the the club here hope you find any questions you may have and able to get your truck back together soon. On a lighter side it's good to see another local SoCal member here. I spent a little time in Covina and West Covina when I was a little younger.
