Hi all...
Here's a weird one for you....
2006 Tahoe....
When coming to a stop i hear a metalic clunk (best way to describe it is like...the noise you hear when you run over a loose manhole cover).
It sounds to be coming from the rear or the truck..but it is very difficult to tell.
I have had the drive shaft out for inspection of u-joints and such...all appears good.
The truck only has 48,000 miles on it.
Now here is the "weird" part....
This only happens when it is WET out.
Under dry conditions it never happens...only during wet conditions. And only when stopping.Never when accelerating.
Any Ideas?
Thanks...
GD

Worn brake pads? Metal on Metal? Sounds similar to my friends '94 GMC 2500. But it was all the time. And it was BAD. Not to mention scary.
