I have a 2008 silverado with a 6 in suspension and 22in rockstars but i have a set of 37in mud grapplers that some idiot ordered and mounted and and oviosly they rub so now they cant be returned to factory so im trying to decided on if i should just do a body lift so i can get them under there or just try to sell them on ebay or sumthing? And if i do the 37 should i change the gear ratio to 4:10 i have a programmer on my truck to do the rest?

    Couple things here:

37s require at least 4.88 ratio to avoid tranny strain and eventual failure plus your gas mileage would go to crap if you use anything less. 4.88s also return it back close to "stock" ratio with 37s. 5.13 would be an even better choice.

I assume this is a 1500....you need to be very VERY careful with 37s as 1/2 ton axles are notoriously weak. There are some folks on here who run them...and I'm contemplating it...but am worried about axle failure. 4.88s and 37s create a tremendous amount of torque and strain on those 1/2 ton axles.

x2 to everything he said. the front ends of the IFS chevy trucks are notoriously weak when using tires of that size. However, if you only drive on the road or moderately go off road (as in nothing hardcore or too strenuous) than you will be fine.

I would just keep them and get a body lift because you are not going to make your money back on the tires. plus your truck will look awesome with them on
