    Default electric mirror

does anyone else have/had this problem. my passenger side mirror(electric) on my '05 silverado 2500 operates but when i push up, the mirror goes right, down goes left, left goes up, right goes down. i don't know if possibly the wiring connector is backwards or if is even possible to to put the connector in backwards. i haven't gotten around to actually looking that far into it yet, just looking to see if anyone has had this problem and what they found out.

Sounds like the plug at the mirror might be put on incorrectly. That would be my guess. If it would be at the switch I would think your other mirror would have the same problem.

With all the electrical I have worked with on my vehicles, I would say that it is impossible to put the connector in backwards. Every GM vehicle I have owned, every connector was a one way. To take any guess work out of replacing anything and messing it up. Are you sure everything is stock?
