I have an 07 silverado 5.3 with the flow 40 dumped, 1 in 2 out, right before the rear end.
Last truck was a 5.7 98 2door tahoe with true dual flow 40s dumped with headers. I went with the lesser setup this time because I was told I would have way too much backpressure problems. I DO have the fuel management, and it sounds massively different, but in no way bad. I need a new sound. I am tired of sounding like a ford! That and when I am off the gas on highway truck runs silent...not fun! What equally loud or louder muffler/glasspack should I invest in? As of right now factory piping, but in 20k miles, installing headers and opening up the pipes, so it would help to have something transferrable. What do yall run on your 5.3 vortecs? comments?

i have a full hooker setup from headers to tips w/ a magnaflow CAT, its on a 5.7 camaro that sounds really awesome. great tone on and off the trottle. at WOT its extremely powerful. i know its a totally differnet setup that your looking to hear from, but so many are hooked on the flowmaster and its hard to get different opinions. flowmaster is old news to me. i hae friends say put a "flowmaster on it" and i say is that the only exhaust system you know. there are many better options out there.
i like the sound on my camaro so much im looking into a hooker set up for my 06 sierra, if i can find one.
my 2cents...

I run a 3'' Aero turbine with a side dump in front of the rear tire. Sounds really good to me. Only complaint I have is that anything with an aero turbine sounds all the same.
