I'm looking to buy an 07 burban LT3 pkg from a dealer at 40K miles on it. It was listed for 30K. I'm getting it on the road for 30K including TTL. leather, dvd, dual power heated seats, power tailgate, pwr folding mirrors. Only things I can find different from LTZ are power, heated rear seats and captian chairs.
I have till thu to make up my mind. Dealer needed a couple days to fix the dings, and dents.
antoerh question: The seats my get re-stained by the dealer. he says that it is permanent. It is true?

Honestly, I think that is too much, I have seen less miles with same options for less. The eceonmy is on your side and if the dealer truely wants to move this vehicle do some dealin! Dont settle on what they are asking, puch them to the limit

Agreed, that is quite expensive. Where I live trucks are still in high demand, the market for gas guzzlers hasn't been hit as hard as it has in the lower 48, and even then prices up here are dropping. I know this is cliche but I'd ask them to show you the dealer invoice (what they paid) and offer them 1G over that, maybe a little more if they really fixed the paint.

Go to http://www.kbb.com/ and plug in the vehicle and see what comes up for trade in value, this gives you an idea what the dealer paid for it. I plugged in a loaded '07 LTZ with DVD, nav, quad seating etc with 40,000 miles and the trade in value in my area is $25,000, so for the model you're looking at I'd say they are asking too much.

Welcome to the site! I too feel that price is too steep considering the above average miles on it. With 20k miles or less that might seem like a fair price but I would think the price should drop another 5-8K dollars to be a great deal. Shop around before commiting and be in control of what you are willing to spend so do your research before hand.

I cant seem to find any 07s with similar or less mileage for much under this price. Not sure what I'm missing here. This price seems to be half way in between private party value for good and excellent condition.
The dealer showed my an invoice sheet that showed $26K as his price + 1500$ worth of work in new tires and exterior and interior cleanup. He claims he only makes 800$ on this deal.
p.s. they figure in these costs when they take a car in for trade in and low ball the guy trading it in
Thanks folks. I'm looking all over the country now. I'm in a bind and need to find a vehicle in the next few days. I wuld ideally like to pay close to KBB trade in value but reailstically what should I pay? All the cars are obviously in great shape by the time they show you with new stained seats and carpets etc.
I guess you are using AUTOTRADER.com or BEEPBEEP.com to search for what your are looking for????
