    Default Wheel cleaning!

    While the front wheels were off for the brake problems, I attempted to make them not look terrible.

    wow...





    much better... after wheel cleaner and a wheel brush

    still can't get this stuff off... not by hand anyways. oh well. no one in this house but me would notice.

    i had to point it out to my dad... and then he said, "what.... new hubcaps?"... "oh. i didn't know they were chrome." i don't know why i do this stuff.

    You do it 'cuz you know it needed doin'.
    It made quite a difference, too. Good job.

    Try some break-free (WD, Kroil, etc.) and a rag on the rust. Maybe a little #000 steel wool if the rag doesn't cut it. Start with the center cap till you get a feel for it.

    Looking good. There are a lot of things that make for prettying up a vehicle but the clean wheels and tires - well, that just sets it apart by a long shot. Good work!

    Well I have spots on my roll bar that look like your hub cap, and basically that's too far gone to bring back. I do use strong arm spray on it and it will take the brown color away, and I also used some Wenol today on some rusty lug nuts and that made the rust dissapear also. Mother's is okay to use if you like tennis elbow, look around and try some other stuff. Job well done though, I know how much time goes into chrome trust me.
