Default 2001 Silverado Single Cab Subs

Just bought my 01 Silverado yesterday and i need a system in it! I still have my old set up from my other car (2 12" Alpine Type-R's, Memphis mono 1000w RMS, US Acoustic 4-Ch amp, Kenwood Deck, 1 Yellow Top and 1 Red Top Optima) problem is the 12s will not fit at all..

Soo I am asking what subs should i get for my truck? 10"s? 12"s? 01 Single cab. Ill have the 1000w RMS pushing them

Also Is there any place i can put a 2nt battery?

You need to get low profile subs. then there are place that make a box for that truck for the subs that fit behind the seat. i would either mount the battery in the bed with a box. or i would mount it on the frame rails.

I installed a sub in my 2001 Silverado Reg. Cab. I didn't want to spend the money for a shallow sub, so I built my own box and mounted a full profile 12" pioneer sub. It is currently powered by my stereo, but I am preparing the acrylic mount for my amp. It should be ready to go by this weekend. Check out my photo albums to see what my setup is now. I have to have the passenger seat a bit forward, but I've had some tall people in the truck and it doesn't bother them.

About the 2nd battery. If you look under the hood, near the firewall on the passenger side, you should see a shelf that is roughly battery-sized. This is the factory location for the 2nd battery. You should also see a little connector similar to the one for your headlights or air conditioning compressor. This is the factory hook-up for a second battery. I'm not sure exactly how it works, and I am sure you would need some other components-its not heavy enough. I'm sure if you asked around here enough or talked to your dealer, you could get that figured out.

The other way is to just custom wire in a second battery. I would still use the tray for the second battery.

    Hope this helps.
