Your engine looks really clean! I've read that with lpg your oil stays yellow/gold longer, and doesn't break down, and become useless as soon.
Sorry. I got all caught up in the idea that you have a '93 suburban that runs on LPG.
I'd read alot about the conversions, and from what I've read, to get maximum efficiency out of lpg you need a different camshaft, and heads with hardened steel valve seats. But I've also heard of people just setting up an impco lpg kit, and start driving.

The engine oil stays clean en yellow on LPG. :D
I think itís on LPG sins it was imported from Texas in 96 I just have it sins 2003 . :?:
I have a simple conversion, Impco 300A installation.
The modifications on the valve train arenít necessary because the Suburban runs on unleaded fuel and already has steel valve seats.
There are three systems for LPG.
1 The simple Impco 300 A for a 5.7.
2 LPI: Liquid Petroleum gas Injection (Not reliable breaks down regularly) .
3 GSI: Gas Injection.
The first system runs great but you have 20% lost of power and a 10% increase of fuel (LPG) consumption.
The second and the third system have no lost of power but the 10% fuel consumption stays. But they are more expensive than the Impco installation.
A complete conversion in Belgium costs around $2500.

$2500 is pretty steep for that conversion. The only thing stopping me from going propane, is that there are no filling stations around here. It would be really stressful to go on a long trip, and find myself hunting for a filling station when I get down to the last 100 miles left in the tank.
