Sony 800W 2/1 channel amp - bridged to power 800W Pioneer Sub. Acrylic enclosure with blue LED lighting.
My amp mounted on its acrylic stand I custom built to it on top of the sub box I built. The install kit I bought didn't give me enough wire for the ground, so it isn't hidden yet.
I wired the LED lights into the remote power control for the amp, so they turn on when the sound system is on.
Overall, it has a few small imperfections, but I'm pretty happy with it, being my first project with acrylic.
I will post up more more pictures once it gets dark tonight.
Feel free to leave comments, questions, anything. Thanks

Sweet work man. Where did you mount it? Is that a regular, extended, or fullsize?

I mounted it behind the passenger seat. Its a regular cab truck, so I had built the sub box last summer when I bought the sub. Until now i had it directly powered by the head unit. Its definitely worth the money to do it this way. And I have my front-rear fade back. The only real problem is that to fit it in, I have to have the passenger seat a bit farther ahead. Even the tall people haven't complained yet so, so-far-so-good.

Thats good. I never run my sub without an amp. At least you don't have that break in period to deal with now though!

yeah. When i bought the sub, I didn't want to spend the money on the amp, so my HU has subwoofer on rear output function. My biggest problem was that i had to hook all 4 speakers to front output to use it. When i bought my new tweeters, I had to get an amp because I didn't want to have 6 speakers all on front output. I was happy with it before, but i wish i would have upgraded it sooner.

I know what you mean, My twelve in my 95 froze and I was heart broken until I fixed it. I just put a set of door speakers and tweeters in my 2000 GMC and they made a world of difference!

update: the pictures of it at night. It really lights up the cab above it. If it were any farther ahead, its bright enough to be a distraction in peripheral vision.

That is a nice acrylic mount you made, and I love the LED's in blue. Great looking project, it's refreshing to see something other than wood for a speaker mount.![]()

I was going to use wood, but I figured for the amount of work it would take to build something wood to fit my setup (and make it sturdy), I would rather have something cool and build that instead. It's something nobody I know has or will have, so I like it.
