Ok so for the last week I was thinking maybe my cats were on the way out. Today I started the truck and engine light was on and code P0155 was thrown, its says O2 sensor
bank 2 sensor 1. Could this be a culprit to loss of performance, what does the O2 sensor tell the engine to do? My other question is how long does this have to be a problem before the computer activates the check engine light?

We just had a post up that explained o2 sensors.
You can find it here.
Bank 1 is driver's side, Bank 2 is Passenger's side.
Sensor 1 is up (forward) of the cats, sensor 2 is down from the cat (nearer the tailpipe)
So, you were paying attention in class today...........Ha, Good Job.

So I figured it out, but now the current O2 sensor will not break free, but my number four spark plug was very nasty, so I am hoping that was causing the sensor to throw a code. No black or oil just alot more white and corroded looking then the other seven
