Default P0332 Knock Sensor 2 Circuit Low Bank 2....03' Suburban

So my wife was pull on to the freeway this afternoon when the CEL came on. I took it down to AZ, borrowed their scanner came up with the above.

A couple of thing come to mind. First, I know some previous generation Suburban (and other models), up to 2002,had an issue with water seeping into the sensor and cause this code (or something to that affect). Second, we took a trip down to Tombstone this weekend and filled up at a station in the middle of no where. But I would probably expect to see both banks throw this code if was fuel quality related.

Couple of questions: a) anybody of how to test the Knock sensor? b) anybody know where it's located and/or an R&R procedure for the knock sensor?

Also, any additional information on this issue would help.

All I know is that if the code ever reads circuit that there is problems in the wiring or voltage not necassarily the sensor itself

I had the exact same codes on my 02' Silverado. On mine to get to the sensors I had to take off the intake manifold and they was right under that. To replace them you just pop off a rubber cover and electrical connector and just unscrew them. But after I replaced mine I got the code again and it ended up being wiring. I mean the censors where pretty corroded so I'm glad I replaced them.

You can watch the sensor feedback with a scanner. If you tap on the manifold with a large wrench you will see the feedback voltage change if the sensor is working correctly. Make sure you have no exhaust leaks or noisy lifters because any noises including stereos can set a knock sensor code.

So my subs could be the reason it shows my sensor is bad ? If that is true I'm gonna get the shop to reset the computer and leave the volume down for awhile to see if this my problem !
