I just got mine in the mail today. I ordered a Volant intake because it is a sealed unit, it doesnt let the hot air from the engine go through your intake. Ill post some pics up after I install it tomorrow.

They pretty much all are equal. Potato - pototto. You know? I use AirAID and always have. 5point3 uses Volant obviously. It depends on the look you like.

I'm not going to go into the brand thing, but as far as type I think that is the most important part. I would get an enclosed style with a box, to keep from drawing in all of the engine heat. I would also get a plastic intake tube versus a metal one, the metal tube will actually make heat versus the plastic runs cooler. They range from $150 all the way up to $400, so there is lot's of room there.

They all seem pretty much the same. We had a K and N on our old explorer which seemed to help out pretty well.

Plastic tube, and an enclosed box awesome. You will not be dissappointed with your choice, Volant is the best of the best!
