I just got mine in the mail today. I ordered a Volant intake because it is a sealed unit, it doesnt let the hot air from the engine go through your intake. Ill post some pics up after I install it tomorrow.

They pretty much all are equal. Potato - pototto. You know? I use AirAID and always have. 5point3 uses Volant obviously. It depends on the look you like.

I'm not going to go into the brand thing, but as far as type I think that is the most important part. I would get an enclosed style with a box, to keep from drawing in all of the engine heat. I would also get a plastic intake tube versus a metal one, the metal tube will actually make heat versus the plastic runs cooler. They range from $150 all the way up to $400, so there is lot's of room there.![]()
They all seem pretty much the same. We had a K and N on our old explorer which seemed to help out pretty well.
