Ok gang, I have a 2002 GMC Sierra 4x4, 4.8L reg cab long bed. 3 years ago I installed a CAT back Flowmaster Force II exhaust kit. Well, they are warrantied 3 years. Living in WNY, our lovely road crews toss down a ton salt in the winter and the exhaust kit gave up the ghost around month #38. I was about ready to putting the stock exhaust back on the truck and decided to contact Flowmaster. The people at flowmaster asked for a proof of purchase and a picture of the spent exhaust. Upon receiving both, they processed my claim and today I received a complete kit to replace the failed system. They were professional and helpful and while they did not need to honor my warranty as it had expired, they took customer service to a whole new level and earned a customer for life. In case you were wondering, the muffler itself was the culprit and the case rotted out where the right side tail pipe attaches to the exhaust port.
Some other tricks to my ride include and K&N air intake kit and a jet performce airflow sensor. This truck flies!
Thats impressive, I always feel like the companys I deal with are on the edge of there seats just hoping that Im past the expiration date so they can say "to bad so sad cant help ya!"thats good info seeing I also run a flow master exhaust. here in utah the road crews go to town in the winter time with all the salt from the Great salt lake.

Wow that's definately great customer service, I have never gotten anything replaced for free like that before. I had a KC light rust through one time, and they sent me a new one for free all I had to do was pay shipping which was like $8.00. On the other hand I have heard people that had Borla exhaust have a hard time with warranty claims, even though they supposedly had a 1,000,000 mile warranty. Thanks for posting this, I am sure that it will have an impact on many people's decision.![]()
Thats excellent. good to hear i was looking at Flowmaster for a cat back kit for my avalanche. customer servce like that unheard of now days.. good deal![]()
