Hey all,
I have noticed that when I begin to take off from a complete stop, I can hear a grinding sound that seems to be coming from the driver side front wheel or suspension. I am not sure if it is the wheel bearings, tie rod ends, or what. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

What are you driving? 2wd or 4wd? Truck or suv?

Sorry, I am driving a 2001 Silverado 2 wheel drive single cab. It's got the 5.3, it's a 1500. Any ideas? Ive heard this same sort of rattling grinding sound on similar trucks around the same year.

Jack up the front end and put it on jack stands. Spin the wheel and see if you hear anything, then have someone turn the steering wheel from side to side to see if it is in the steering components. Try to wiggle the wheel side to side and up and down and look for movement in the parts.
Are you sure the brakes aren't worn out or dragging?
