We started this morning at like 6 am when my youngest decided to wake up. I got him to sleep a bit longer but the day started at 7:45 anyhow. I got breakfast made and we started working on the list of chores by 9 am.
Cleaned the kitchen, the dining room, swept and mopped, put away a ton of clothes, got all my tools organized in the garage, did a house sweep for anything that should be put outside on my workbench, cleaned the garage out, cut back the roses, did some web development work, watched the kids while the wife went out and I still didn't get the vehicles cleaned out or shampoo the carpets like I wanted.
Well, there's still 30 minutes left today, I'll make certain that everything is put away in the garage and then take a shower and hit the hay. me a tired boy tonight!

Well, ask Springthing,That is just my morning, as I have NO kids and can get this all done by 11:00am. I am like the Military commercials, "I get more done by 8:00am, then most get done in a day?". Good job Steve, but there is always something to do, I have a clipboard to do, but I also find things to do, cause thats what keeps me going, my first house that I've owned, so I got to catch up.
It can be really tiring if your not use to all the work and time on your hands, but I bet you sleep good tonight.....

Hearing about Jeff and the work he does in/around the house gets me tired! He's got projects lined up for the next few months and does everything one after the other bambambambam! That's not healthy.
Re-designed the pantry here, painted, and put up new shelving. Bought a power washer on Friday and we're taking to the whole outside of the house. Slowly but surely..! The rain is just starting so that will slow production down a little. Oh well!

well my weekend started last friday after work. we are out of work, so i am on unemployment for 2 weeks. so i have been doing stuff, mainly detailing cars for my dad. he called an asked if i had work, then said that he would pay me $125 per car to detail them. i was there, didnt have to tell me twice. i learned that i hate turtle wax products, i love flashwax deep purple wash liquid (vendor on this site) excellent product, and i really like meguires new tech wax 2.0. from now on i will use mothers california gold claybar kit unless meguires comes out with a tech 2.0 claybar. next on my list is to rent a steam cleaner so i can stem my carpets, the carpet in my dads suburban, and my couch

Wow! Steve that's a whole lotta work for one day. I could never get that much done around the home. I swear I have ADD, cuz while I'm in the middle of one thing I'll see something else out of the corner of my eye and off I go on another tangent. I usually get several things started, but am lucky to finish two or three.
Saturday was a good day for me, I got a few things out of the garage and took them to the swap meet. I sold most of it and made a little money embossing pet tags all the while. After a morning at the swap meet we went to a graduation ceremony for a friends daughter who completed Nursing school and then to top it off I went to rescue a friend whose 06 Silverado diesel crapped out. Some sort of injector problem and we had it towed to his nephews garage.
Maybe someday, the garage will be able to fit more than one car, but if that is going to happen I will definitely have to spend more time dragging my treasures to the swap meet or the dump.
I didn't get home til after midnight, but it was a good kind of tired.![]()

I'm going to have a very similar day here soon. The wife and I are both sick so the house is kind of falling behind. I'm sure we'll have to find time when we're both off together (very rare) and get some stuff done. Right now I'm struggling just getting the normal day to day stuff done. Nothing like having a spotless house though once it's all finally done. Go get some rest lol.

Wow, I've got a LOT of work to get done today. Going to clean the house up, then going to get the cars all cleaned up. Me and the boy like to do that together, so we might drive somewhere where they have a car wash, vacuums, carpet shampooer, etc.
What's everyone else got going on this weekend?

starting in on my 5th week of unemployment, i gotta admit, this isnt too bad of a gig if you have things to keep yourself busy, but if you dont, man it can suck!
luckily i have wedding things to research, design, order, etc and even luckier, my dad owns his own carpenter business, so i get to help him for some of that fancy foldin money.
the first 2 weeks, i took it easy here at the house, the second 2 weeks, i have stayed busy, i designed and accomplished a flower bed for my aunt, helped my dad add a shed onto his building, pressure washed mt grandfathers porch, vinyl soffit, hand railing and deck, then stained all the railing and deck. this week, i will be building a barn.
distraction, i bought a green laser pointer off ebay the other day... frickin sweet, i highly recommend it
