    Default Dual Side Exit Exhaust

I'm wondering if anyone out there has a dual exhaust that exits out the side in front of the back tires. I want to do it and have some oval tips like 1 1/2" by 4", but didnt know if anyone had them. Even if you dont have it input is welcome.

I was going to put that kind of exhaust n my truck but I ran into a problem. The guy that I brought my truck to to do my exhaust said that you need a heat shield to protect you gas tank from the exhaust pipe heat on the driver's side. My friend ran his exhaust without the heat shield and had no problem, but he bought a new truck shortly after doing his exhaust so I don't what the long term effects would be. Just trying to give you a heads up!

I've seen it before but I don't know what they did to keep it from heating the gas tank. The truck I saw it on was heavily modified so I'm sure they figured something out. If I come across some info on this I'll let you know.

I could a local muffler shop just to get a price quote on it and they told me they do it all the time with no other modifications. But when I called my friend that did my exhaust the first time he told me right off the bat that the gas tank sits right there. I still want to do it though lol

It would look great, I agree, and it would sound intense. But make sure you put protection on that tank.

A little extra noise wont bother me, the lack of noise does. On this same subject, does powdercoat stand up to extreme heat or no?
