    Default DVD Navigation Swap

Has anyone here swapped out the Bose 6 disc changer for the DVD Nav unit. I have the Bose 6 disc but I am thinking about picking up the DVD RADIO. Has anyone done this. I am looking on Ebay and I can pick up the unit for around $400.00. Anyone that has done the swap, how difficult was it. Is it plug and play or more indepth? Thanks in advance for the input!

the only concern i would have with it would be wheather or not you have to have a different antenna for the NAV portion of it all. the rest "should" be just plug and play. you may also want to make sure that if you are switching it that if there is any security codes on the replacement that you get that code or the VIN off of the vehicle it comes off of.

long and short of it all for a better answer to wheather or not it would work or be an easy swap you might pick the brains of one of the GM Mechanics at your local dealership. if nothing else give them a call and ask if there is something special that needs to be done for the swap to work properly. sounds like a pretty nice set up and not bad on the price either but the things i mentioned above are deffinately things to keep in mind and consider. would hate to see you spend all that money and not be able to use the new one.

I agree with the antenna part.. but also make sure you get a good updated DVD. If you put an older unit in make sure you know what year the unit is from so you get the correct DVD... I have a DVD for the 03-06 models... hit me up if you are interested.
