    Default More oomph for towing

    Hello everyone.

    I am new to this forum, have a 1998 Chevy Silverado 4X4 with a 350 Vortec. I tow a boat that has a total weight of approx. 4000 lbs. (boat, gear, trailer, etc) and am finding that the package is gutless on hills. My worry is that this summer I will have a camper on the truck plus towing the boat will be ridiculously slow. Has anyone had this problem and is there a way that I can up the oomph (catback, programmer, etc.) for towing.

    ps. Whats is your axle ratio?

    its kinda like when you step on the gas pedal at speed, and the engine kicks in and throughs you back, just another way of saying more power
