I have a fiberglass bumper cover for the front of my 04 Silverado 1500. I have it primed and ready to paint, but wanted to know if anyone has any ideas how to install it after it's painted. I already did a test fit, and that went well. I keep seeing tips to use double sided tape, but as it is fiberglass, the fibers are on the back side, so I don't think the tape will stick.
I have also had issues with putting screws into fiberglass - they tend to open a bigger hole then needed.
I am willing to drill into the bumper underneath, but I don't want 20 screws showing on the cover.
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks,
Steve

On my 2005 Silverado I have a fiberglass lower bumper, and they have it held on by those I think they are called "J" clips. They are normally slid on the inner fenders, and then you drill the hole out and thread the bolt through the "J" clip which keeps it held in place. Mine is just totally held in place by clips, I have never installed one so I can't say for sure.
