    Default clunkers for cash?

anybody else been hearing about this?the government wants to give vouchers for gas guzzlers..well personally id like to tell them where they can stick those vouchers..theres one simple reason i drive "gas guzzlers" and ive kept all 4 of mine without even thinking of selling them.
POWER..you just cant beat it.theres things you just cant pull off with a 80 HP 4 cylinder 30mpg honda.just my gripe for the day..

    im getting about
    15-18mpg-silverado
    13mpg-GMC jimmy
    4mpg-F250
    14-15mpg-dodge 1500
and wouldnt trade em for anything!

I read about this too, and I think they only give you like a $4,500 tax credit! The thing that makes me mad is when you buy a so called "gas guzzler" you have t pay the gas guzzler tax when you buy the vehicle new, and then they are going to pull this type of crap. My parents always buy the tiny little cars, like the Geo Metro's or cavaliers or my mom's Aveo she has now. I just hate little cars period, I bought my truck because of it's custom potential not it's mileage.

The US is sitting on the largest oil deposit in the world and if they would just tap into it slightly then the "gas Guzzling" problem they are so worried about would vanish. There is enough oil under the center of the US to supply us for the next 400 years. the funny part is they have know about it since Taft was president.

IMO...trucks are made to be work horses...towing, pulling, hauling, etc etc, not for looks or to be street queens. You buy a truck for it's purpose not for the mpg or any of that other crap.

If this bill passes like it's supposed to do it will really hurt the economy. Many automotive repair shops will suffer if this happens. It will also force people to drive economy cars that they cannot afford the payments on.
