2005 Suburban w/8.1L is making noise... [Expired Topic]
Just after I start it. There is a whining noise under the hood. Now, this noise only lasts a second or two and is louder when it's cold.
Not sure if it's the Power Steering pump or a belt. Anyone have any ideas? On my last visit to the dealer they said that this problem is common with the 8.1 liter and that GM is looking into it.Some people call me the space cowboy ... some people don't.

I think there is a TSB on this. Check the pullies and maybe have them tighten the belts up.
