I am going to try something new on this truck I have now, I have done all sorts of bed configurations already.
Hard drop in liner
Tool boxes
Tonneau covers
Roll bar
So I am wondering if any of you have ever had one on any truck you have ever owned, and if so what options did you like on your truck cap. I picked out the A.R.E. Z series with the sliding windows that also lift up to offer side access to the bed. I am also getting the dual Yakima tower racks to mount my lights on, I have the round tubing brackets already. Any advise on these things, and does anybody know how much they run because I can't find any prices for them????

1.) i'm not hating on the idea but my personal opinion on the Bed Cap is.. why make a pickup look like a suburban..
2.) From what i found on the internet... the A.R.E. Z series seems to be about $2000 give or take a few hundred (i know not much to work with but its 1:20 a.m.... gimme a break lol
3.) as for the tower racks.. i'm gonna guess a price range of about $150-300.00 ...maybe...

Alright well thanks guys for the help, I was figuring it to be around $2,000 but my friend thought it would have been around $1,000 which I knew was too low. I have never been a fan of the truck caps either, but I figured that I will try it out and see how I like it for a change. I am going to get the Yakima top racks, because I am going to mount 4 PIAA 520 forward, and 4 PIAA 520 facing towards the back of the truck. I just figured it would give it a different look, plus I will have some storage space in the back of the truck. Well they manufacture them in Massilon Ohio, so I will be taking the hour drive out there to order one. I will let you know what happens, and how it looks.
sounds good cant wait to see what it looks like!ive got family in massilon.havent been up there in a few years though

Mine is not an ARE, and isn't the classiest out there, but its good. I would take it off, but it saves more money on gas than people think it would. Having the waterproof enclosure is nice (mine is not right now... my stepdad is tough on vehicles, so when the truck was his, the canopy was not the only thing not properly cared for...) I think they can look good - as long as you have the right style for your truck.
