Hey I have a 2004 Gmc Sierra 1500 and i was thinking about putting in the front leveling kit but my brother said the balljoints will take a beating and its not good for the cv axels to be at that big of an angle. anyone who's installed the leveling kit had any problems?
you shouldn't have any problems if your runnin a torsion bar setup thats the whole idea behind torsion bar setup so you can adjust ride height
it does put a added strain on the ball joints and the CV joints but not enough to notice in the life span

Just so i don't have to make a new thread. The coil spacers, are they gonna produce a rougher ride over the torsion keys?
I really wanna level the front end out but im just not sure what kit to go with. I know that the spacer are a good bit cheaper, but i'm not really worried about that. I just want the front end up and the ride to stay about the same.
Thanks and sorry for semi-jacking your thread![]()

Coil spring spacers are for 2WD trucks and torsion keys are for the 4x4, your truck is the same generation as mine ('03-'05) and based on my experience the replacement torsion keys ride better than stock. Not harsh by any means but a little more solid, like a truck should feel. I'd recommend the Pro-Comp leveling keys,a little more expensive than some of the $99 keys you see on e-bay, mine were $170 at stylin trucks but they are high quality and powder coated and I can guarantee you'll get 2.5" of lift, some keys only give1"-1.5",and I have heard stories of some keys breaking!
