    Default Allison Transmission Oil Pan.

Is my oil pan a deep or shallow oil Pan on my 2006 Silverado HD 4x4 Duramax.

If it's the original pan it's shallow...

It is shallow. Let me know if you need a filter or fluid for you project.

I'd recommend keeing the stock pan. I have heard that the deep pans actually make it harder for the oil to be pumped. At least do a good search before you swap it if thats what you're thinking.

Deep pans are good for the Allison. There are no problems with the fluid being pumped that I have ever heard. I am on a Duramax forum also and there are tons of people with the deep pan and swear by them. I am going to get one for my truck before it's plowing season again.
