    Default Mold

Does anyone ever see mold starting on the rear seatbelts on both sides (heater and spare tire) or is it just a canadian thing. I have been looking at another 95 burb and 4 out of the 9 we have looked at have bad mold problems either just on the belts or all over the rear of the truck. After seeing this I removed the rear heater cover to find the start of mold in the rear heating duct and around the rear pass window but no sign of leakage from the core or the window any thoughts.

YES! I have this problem too! Mold or some type of bacteria or spores or whatever like to grow in places like that. I just extended it out all the way, hit it good with some Lysol and it's all good.

Honestly, everyone, it's good to let some Lysol loose in your vehicles like once per month, even if you don't think that it's needed. It's a small space that you spend a lot of time in.

I remember once I was a passanger in a friend's car and I wasn't feeling well. I had eaten too much food and a social gathering and I thought I was going to loose it.

Anyhow, I did. I didn't get the window down in time either. He was SOOO mad at me. I lost a whole large hawaiian pizza all over the front of his car.

About 3 weeks later, after he had it cleaned up and everything was back to normal, he took someone else somewhere, the first passanger in the car since I rode in it on that fateful night. When they sat in and put on the seat belt, some pineapple chunks came out of the seatbelt retractor!!!

We still laugh about that. Can't believe that was probably like 15 years ago!!! I'm not old enough to have done stuff 15 years ago!

What's really funny, now that I think about it, is that I tried to stick my head out the window ... at highway speed ... and most of it just came back in the window and hit my friend sitting in the back seat.

That was my friend Paul's car. He was mad at me too, wouldn't talk to me for like 2 weeks, I had to buy him a 6-pack of his favorite to make ammends. My friend the back seat was more understanding, he did stupid stuff like that all the time.

I have other colorful stories to tell too, but maybe some other day.
