fuel pump

I have a 99 tahoe & the fuel pump has this really loud wineing noise.i know most of them are loud but mine seems even louder then any others i have herd.Is it possibly on its way out? or does anyone else have this issue? & having no problems other then its annoying.

Does it quiet down with a full tank or still noisy? If it's noisy with a full tank that's not normal. If the screen gets debris on it from crap in the tank it will make the pump scream.

Its the same no matter how much gas is in the tank..Any ideas of how 2 quiet it down?without replacing it.

Had the same issue, I found only one way to quite it down after 2 weeks of whining real loud----replace it. You are on the verge of the pump failing. I took mine to the dealer to have it looked at and was told it may last a day or 10 years but from their experiance it usually isn't long. In my case 14 days long, so for the bad news.
