Default Car was hard to start then didn't start at all

The car would start for a long time on the second crank..didnt think anything of it till one day it didnt start at all!...i did some reading and found that the fuel filter at around 100,000 should be repaced and can make your car hard to start or cause it to not start at all!...I replaced the part(10 bucks at pep boys) and now it starts right up every time...do you think i'll get better gas mileage?probably not, huh?

oh yeah..for referencing purposes the mileage on my vehicle when the fuel filter disallowed the engine from starting was 107,000...
I must say these forums have been a tremendous help in keeping my silverado on the streets and doing it in syle!...I love how friendly and willing to help out people are and i intend to contribute inm any way i can!...If anybody needs help putting spacers or rear leaf spring blocks on their 4.3L v6 silverado RWD let me know...I've endured the learning curve and have some tricks to make it way easier on you!
