2014 2500HD CCSB LTZ 6.5" lift running 35" Nittos. Truck just went past 2000 mile mark.
The last time I towed my 7x14 tandem Vnose with approx 5000lbs I got 12.6, and ran highway not towing and pulled 16.4. Both hand calculated and had some around town driving mixed in.

Something is really not right about the average mpg that many get from the Dmax. I average high 7 mpg with a 2013 semi truck grossing 80,000 lb, which if it was loaded with 2500 pickups with Dmax's, I could easily haul 6 of them. The Dmax pickups should easily be in the mid 20's mpg range, even towing. I think that GM could do much better. Good engine, just some changes should be done, either via programming or mechanical to get a much better fuel economy without sacrificing power.

The engine in testing now by GM, the 3.2L EBDI V6 engine designed with help of Ricardo of the U.K., has the same hp and torque as the 6.6 Dmax, and gets better mpg to boot..... using E85 fuel! They are being tested in 3500HD pickups now. About 500 lb lighter dry weight setup, same power as the Dmax, just uses the same cats as regular gas engines, and uses the (in most places) cheaper E85 fuel. Chomping at the bit for them to offer this as an optional power train soon. It can also run regular or E10, but power levels are reduced a little per what I have read from the news reports on the testing.
Hey there, VA, what do ya' say? How many vets did you kill today?
