Thread: Gauge lights

    Default Gauge lights

I am having a problem with the light that lights up the gauges and ac area in my 1993 chevy suburban. Now, I have replaced the 5A block fuse from the fuse box under the dash and every time i test the switch to turn on the fog lamps, the same fuse blows out and I changed it twice and it keeps popping. Might it be a short or something? The fog lamps stay on, but the gauge lights stay off. Anyone know a solution to this problem? Any help is deeply appreciated. thanks.

It does sound like a short to me. Probably in the guage lights themselves somewhere. Is there any smell when they go out?
