Guys,
I've had a '98 Z-71 and '01 Z-71 and just bought an '09 GMC Z-71. Tightening the torsion bars on the '98 and '01 to get an inch or so lift on the front end was pretty easy. But I crawled under the new '09 and I'm clueless. I can't seem to find the damn bolt to tighten! Has anyone done this? Any advice/info would be appreciated. Pictures would also be great if you have the time. THANKS in advance!!

The New Body Style trucks don't use torsion bars any more, they have a coil spring setup now. Good news is you raise the front by using a spacer with no ill effects on ride quality.
Oh and welcome to the site!

Only the 2500HD and 3500HD have torsion bars. The 1500 have coil over's like adampaul1964 said.

Man! Know wonder I couldn't find the torsion bars! Thanks, guys! This site is awesome. Once I get my truck decked out I'll post pics. Thanks again!

Yeah that does make it hard to find.
You can look around for a Levelling Kit. They are sold everywhere by a lot of different manufacturers, I have 2.5" kit on mine. Pretty easy to install too.

When you say "easy to install," does that mean I can do it myself? Where did you get your 2.5" levelling kit?
