Use AMSOIL 100% synthetic lubricant front to back and that alone will pick up you MPG 5% to 10%. My brothers neighbor gained 2 MPG in her 2008 Silverado with a 5.3L. And that was just changing the engine oil & filter to AMSOIL ASL 5W-30.2008 GMC Sierra 2500HD Ex. Cab, Fire Red, 6.6L Duramax LMM Equipped with UTG Rocker Pods
AMSOIL is the only oil company that...,"Recommends 25,000 mile oil changes","Gives up to four times better wear protection","Warranties your engine against oil related failure"

drafting can increase ur mil;eage a ton but is extremely dangerous and is hard to do in a truck.
All you have to do is cruise directly behind an 18 wheeler and the 18 wheeler takes all the wind resistance but if u drive a truck u have to get liike 5 feet behind the truck in doing this i have gotten my instantaneos gas mileage to stay at 30 mpg bbut this was only on the highway2008 chevy silverado single cab short bed 4.3

Don't forget the gas.
I have seen a 10% increase in milage by switching brands of gas. I was regularly using Speedway(Marathon) gas and getting 15 mpg in my '93 Silverado. Our local Shell station became very price competitive so I tried a few tankfulls of Shell gas. To my surprise I gained a consistant 1.5 mpg, up to 16.5.
It pays to experiment a little.John
