I took a look through the forum and didn't find a thread on this. The beauty rings on my '88 Silverado 2500 2WD wheels squeak and rattle above 30mph. I have tapped them in and it quiets down for a while then starts back up within a week or so. The rings seem tight upon inspection when removed from th wheels and they are in excellent condition. Does anyone have a more permanent cure for this problem (aside from wheel replacement...LOL). I am keeping my truck original like my dad kept it (I inherited the truck from him after he passed away) so I want to keep these steel wheels. I plan to have them powder coated soon as they are missing some of the original color. Thanks in advance!

Thank you for the condolences, it is appreciated. I think I will see how they are after I powder coat the wheels this fall. Then mabey replace the rings...
