Default Dropshock or regular w/2" spring drop?

My truck has a 2" suspension drop on the front end I can see that the springs are orange so that is obviously not stock. I need to put new shocks on it but I am not sure which ones to buy... Do trop shocks drop it lower or are drop shock for the drop springs?

heres you some good choices...... http://www.summitracing.com/search/y...n/?Ns=Rank|Asc ...... and no drop shocks will NOT lower the truck any further, they are simply made shorter to compensate for the drop applied to the truck so you dont over stroke them and mess them up.

here's a thought..... since the truck is already slightly lowered, and you know you like it!!! then why not go ahead and shell out the extra cash and finish slamming it? nothing turns heads more than a truck that scrapes the pavement every time it hits a funny spot in the road!!

Ok so I do need to buy the 0-2" drop shocks.... And then on the rear would you have any idea how many leafs are on stock ride height... the leafs are still on top or the rear end so it has not been flipped yet it is lower than stock.... almost even with the front just not quite. Thanks man!! btw nice ride

off the top of my head i cant remember if that year truck had 3 or 4 leafs but i think it was 4??? somebody will surely have the correct answer, anyways im gonna take a wild guess here and say the lowering kit you have on your truck has had 1 leafspring removed, thats pretty common for someone wanting to save a little cash and still lower their truck.(all of these assumptions are based on the fact that it sounded like you were not the one who installed this lowering kit?)

i would go with drop shocks the normal ones wont work properly and no shocks wont lower it any more the new ones will be the correct length vs the normal ones which will to long and the valve wont work properly

Without pictures I am guessing the rear has a hanger shackle drop kit on it for close to a 4" drop. It may very well have a leaf removed as well. I have even used de-arched leaf packs to lower some of mine.
