Parking Brake - 2000 Suburban!

Set the brake on my new used 2000 Suburban and it went all the way to the floor and did NOT work.
Ideas about common cause and the fix.
4 wheel disk brakes, I'm not sure how the parking brake engages.

Search around the forum, i've seen posts about this before. I think it was something with the piece that holds the break cable coming loose down near the breaks or something. But def. use the search button this isnt the first time someones asked about this.

Take a look under the truck at the cables. One may have come loose if the brake was out of adjustment or it could have broken.
