    Default Torque specs intake manifold?

I just replaced intake manifold gasket on a 1995 suburban.I had a small external oil leak(right front corner). I torqued the bolts to 35 ft pounds.According to my mitchells tech repair disc.I went to auto zones website and they are calling for 11 ft pounds.Either way,I have to pull the darn thing and do again. I have a little internal leak(sweet white smoke)I was just curious if 35ft pounds sounded right.By the way, when I pulled the intake and cleaned it up.I found it had some pitting near the right front corner. Can the intake be trued like a head. I'm not sure if it would line up with the head if it was.

35ft/lbs is right. Did you tighten them in this pattern?

Yeah,I torqued them in the right sequence.I was second guessing about the 35 ft pounds though.Do you know if the intake can be milled?

    Default specs.

    35ft.lbs. is correct for 1988- 1995, the 11ft.lbs is for models 1996- 2000, 4.3, 5.0, 5.7 l engines.
