    Post 1990 chevy 2500 tranny question

    hi i have a 1990 chevy k2500 350 TH400 and was wondering how difficult it would be to put a chevy 5spd std in it? and also if anyone has one that would like to sell it, plz email me

    It would be a lot of work. This question has been asked over and over here so there's a lot of info in the archives. The bottom line is you will need a donor truck or it will coat an arm and a leg. Somethings to consider are:

    Clutch
    Flywheel
    Master and Slave cylinders
    clutch pedal assembly
    rewire neutral safety switch
    crossmember
    drive shafts
    transfer case <different>
    and the list goes on.
