Thumbs up My name is valentin

Hello all, my name is valentin, I am 16, I like motorcycle and cars, I'm come from belgium and I'm a student.

Why is a young belgian guy on this forum ?

Because I have a project, Next hollydais, I want to go to USA.In belgium, my country go by plane to NY, and after reach LA to get back to belgium, to do that I need a car, and i like Chevy suburban( 90's generation), Is it possible to buy a suburban for only 2000$? I saw 1995 suburban for this price, and for me In belgium it is amazing (here for 2000$ you have only one very old small car), is the suburban (V8 5.7) a reliable car? How much miles can do this car without problem (I want a nice journey, not a nightmare with a car). I know this is not the forum's subject, but is founding a job in USA easy? Is it realistic to found a job in a restaurant or maybe in a farm? (here I'm student but I work in a restaurant into the week end and the hollidays)

This is all, thank you and see you soon here !

Excuse me if I don't speak english very well...

your english isnt bad, your grammar could stand a little work, but its ok. at the moment, with the economy being down, jobs are hard to come by, but they are out there so you could get lucky. $2000
you can find a car, but a suburban for that price, im not sure. i am guessing you plan on driving it from NY to LA. you will need to get it to a shop first thing for a maintenance check. get the oil changed every 3-5000 miles and you should be good. also, make sure the shop greases all the points on the vehicle too and have the breaks checked. i would recommend you take it to a shop to get checked out before you buy it

Thank you cascott325, I do english at school 4 hours a week for six years, write is easy, but when I have to speak it is different , So I saw this car for any exemple http://www.carsforsale.com/used_cars..._100742957_109 the price is very low, or I maybe just didn't understand anything in the announcement ?! is it better to buy in a car's shop ? but is not too expensive ? and I saw one or two cars with a warranty, what about that ? What this includes ? and if I have a problem away from the garage where I bought the car, is It my problem ?is there garage's network where I could have a cheap car with an interstate warranty ?

    one more, thanks !

I think this travel is going to be difficult to organize :p

    welcome to the site!

soo just out of curiosity do u reealy need a burb or would a tahoe be suitable for u? theyre a lil smaller but also a lil bit cheaper. and it looks exactly like a burb.
also the burb u linked looks decent for that price but i would get it checked out before you buy it. its got alsot 200k miles on it.
i would personaly look for something with lower miles but it its still in good condition im shure theres atleast a good more 75miles on that engine before it starts having mavor problems

    Welcome to the site!!!!!!!!!

I second the Tahoe idea. If your young and really don't have need for the suburban space buy a Tahoe. you be pushing less weight for that haul across america to LA. so better gas mileage. $2000 though is not gonna buy the greatest vehicle unless your lucky. If you can work in NY for a short while and bank everything to by a decent Tahoe for the trip. Definitely have all the vehicles you look at inspected by a reputable mechanic.

Hope all goes well for you in your adventure!
