    Unhappy hot cabin=no start

On hot summer days when the cabin is hot my '98 Silverado won't start. It'll fire with ether so fuel pump must be shutting off. When cabin cools down for 10 minutes it starts/runs fine.

You find that you will get a better response if you ask a question. Also it helps to give as much information as possible. How hot is the interior of your truck? I live in the Mojave Desert and hot where you are may just be getting things warm here. At what temp does the truck start at? Take a minute to fill out your profile/signature to include details on your vehicle and where you live.

    We are here to help.

Pretty much for this problem you are going to need a GM Factory Service Manual set which would include *complete* wiring diagrams. Also you will need a multimeter.

Then start testing circuits when this problem occurs. You would need to be able to look at the wiring diagrams and learn how all the electrical systems relating to this should work, then test and see what is not working properly.
