Well, my unlucky demon struck again...
1st, I dropped my laptop earlier this week, there are pics of it in another thread.
2nd, after work the other day, my cell phone screen went out, so I drove to my brother's house to get another phone. The phone he gave me has a bad battery btw,
3rd, on the way to my brother's house, my truck, a '00 Sierra, almost over heated. It got up to 250. I turned the heater on and rolled down the windows. Got to my brother's house, let it sit for 30 mins, and drove back to my house, and it did the same thing...
Well, last night I got my gf to drive me 100 miles back to my parent's house to get my tools and tool box out of my '95. This morning me and my brother put my tools and tool box into the back of his truck, stopped at autozone for a new thermosta and 2 gallons of premix, and drove the 100 miles back to my house. Got my truck parked in a vacant parking lot next to a vacant apartment building that had a running water faucet. We removed the air intake, and the removed the pain in the butt clamp and pulled the lower radiator hose off. When we got the old thermostat off, the brass rod in the middle moved about as much as a kid on a trampoline. We bolted everything back up and started the truck, and there was a leak. Turns out the o-ring didn't seat properly. We then used some RTV Silicon Gasket maker to hold the o-ring in place and that worked great. We then bolted everything back up and there was still a leak. Took everything apart and discovered that the hose clamp had broke. So we made a lil trip to O'Reilly's and picked up a gallon of straight antifreeze and a screw type hose clamp. We then put everything back together and no leak!
So now everything is starting to look up.
I got another cell phone.
My truck is fixed again.
But I'm still undeided on what to do about the laptop.
