Sway Bar Link Question? '99 K-1500 Suburban

Last time I had the oil changed in my '99 K-1500 Suburban the tech wrote on the paperwork that the Drivers Side Sway Bar Link is broken. What is this part and how hard is it to repair? I have not noticed any driveablilty isues relating to this. The truck has moderate off road tires (Terra Trac MT) and I do very light off roading periodically.

Is there a how-to somewhere relating to this?
Should I just repair the existing set up or is there some other upgrade option I could consider that will not cost an arm and a leg?

I would just put a new set on they are fairly easy to install.You may have to tap the bolt a little to get it to clear the control arm.
You didn't say if it was the one on the front or back.Here is a link for the front set.
