Has anyone had problems with replacement oil sending units?I put a new intake gasket in my 1995 burb last week. While I was taking it apart,
I broke the old oil sending unit.No big deal,I put a new one in when I installed the gasket.
Well, after I started the truck,I noticed the oil pressure was high.It read 75 psi cold 65 psi warm.
The previous owner didn't change the oil very often. It took 15 quarts run through it to get the oil a
decent color. The oil pressure was still high after changing the oil.I was starting to worry that I left
some junk in the motor when I changed the gasket.I was going to put another oil sending unit in
it to see if my replacement was bad.I changed my mind and put a manual oil pressure gauge in instead.
Low and behold 35psi when warm.
