New Truck

A little while back I came into possesion of a '78 Scottsdale C-20 Camper Special that had been used occaisionally to haul around an old 5th wheel. It has a 98K 454 in it that had been maintained somewhat and it runs well. Other than the expected rust in the quarter panels and doors the body seems ok. I'm not sure that the bed is in good shape because the previous owner mounted a piece of plywood to the bed to facilitate one of those bed unloader roller devices. I know that this will be a winter project for me but I'd like to ask if there is anything special that I should be on the lookout for.
It's all electric w/ dual 20gal tanks and dual exhausts. Will I have to re-do the valve seats for unleaded and will I need to put a catalytic converter in? At this time I really don't know a lot about this truck.

I wouldn't worry about the valve seats with that many miles on it. If it didn't come with a cat it sure doesn't need one now to be legal but you can add one if you want to. Have fun!
