I'm new here. And I know there are people on here, who can answer this question. I have an 84 with the gate and electric window. I would REALLY like to have the barn doors. My 79 could go both ways....what happened..???? There's not any thing to bolt the doors or hardware to. Are there brackets under the sheet metal.?? Any help will be appreciated.

Welcome aboard.
My 86 has the tailgate, from looking at it I would say you have weld in the hinges and you should be good.
I would only say ask a body shop if they could install the hinges for you. If you already have doors, just bring them with you.

I agree, the weld is the most important aspect of it all. Let us know if you get this done, would love to see before/during/after pics of it.
