I have a 2004 Suburban LT... the rear tailgate seem to be locked every time I go to open it. I would like to have it open and lock along with all the other doors. I have read through the manual and configured all the other options via the driver information center on the dash/steering wheel, but don't see an option for what I want to do.

The tailgate locks/unlocks perfectly well with the door switch and the key fob... but seems to be locked more often. Am I missing something here? Is the tailgate lock configured to work differently from the other doors?
